Privacy policy
The honest summary: almost nothing happens. The rest of this page is specific about what “almost” means.
Who we are
pcrzero.com is operated by Scytalex LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. For anything on this page, write to privacy@scytalex.com.
What this site collects
The site has no accounts, no comment box, and no form that stores anything today. The demonstration on the home page computes its digest inside your browser and sends nothing anywhere — that is the point of it. The Academy pages are static documents. Reading any page here does send one anonymous count of that page view, described in full under Cookies and counting visits below; nothing else about you leaves your browser.
Cookies and counting visits
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — no cookie, no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprint. Because there is nothing to consent to, there is no cookie banner. This section is the site’s cookie policy.
Since 8 August 2026 the site does count visits, using Vercel Web Analytics, because we would like to know whether anyone is reading. Each page view records the time, the path, the page that sent you here, your browser, operating system and device type, and an approximate location inferred from the network your request arrived on — country, region, city. That is the whole list.
Visitors are told apart by a hash computed from the incoming request, which is discarded and regenerated every day. We cannot recognize you as a returning reader tomorrow, and nobody can line you up against your visit to any other site. What this buys us is totals — how many people read the Academy, which pages get found, roughly where the traffic comes from. There is no profile here to build. Automated traffic is not counted at all.
Both the counting script and the address it reports to are served from pcrzero.com itself, so the site still makes no third-party requests and the security policy it ships with still forbids them. Our release checks still fail the build if a cookie or storage API ever appears in this site’s own code; that check was not relaxed to make room for counting.
Hosting logs
pcrzero.com is served by Vercel. Like any host, Vercel’s infrastructure sees the IP address and browser signature of each request and keeps short-lived logs so pages get delivered and abuse gets resisted. We use those logs for nothing else — no identification, no profiles.
The waitlist
The waitlist form on the home page stores nothing today. When it goes live it will collect exactly one thing: the email address you choose to give us, used only to tell you PCRZERO is open. Ask at the address above and it is deleted.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it. The only party that processes anything on our behalf is Vercel, our host — the hosting logs described above and the anonymous page-view counts described under cookies. Nothing goes anywhere else.
Your rights
Write to privacy@scytalex.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. In almost every case the honest answer will be: nothing.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
When this policy changes, the change lands here with a new effective date, in the same release as the change itself — so the page can never drift ahead of or behind the code. The date at the top is the record.
8 August 2026: the site began counting page views, and the cookies section was rewritten to describe it. Before that date the site counted nothing.
